Ingredients:
- Whole wheat flour: 2 cups
- Bottle gourd (lauki): 1 cup (grated)
- Green chili: 1 (finely chopped)
- Ginger: 1 inch (grated)
- Cumin seeds: 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder: ½ tsp
- Salt: to taste
- Water: as needed
- Oil: 2 tsp (for kneading)
- Ghee or oil: for cooking
Method of Preparation:
In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, grated bottle gourd, green chili, grated ginger, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and salt.
Add 2 tsp oil and mix well.
Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough. Let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
Divide the dough into equal-sized balls.
Roll each ball into a small disc, then flatten slightly.
Heat a tawa and place the rolled-out paratha on it.
Cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, applying ghee or oil as needed, until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve hot with chutney or yogurt.
